The course is designed for those people whose work practices produce waste or those people who need a greater understanding of waste principles and waste management practices.

The course content includes:
  • Introduction to the waste hierarchy
  • Waste minimisation
  • Current waste management practices
  • Overview of waste legislation
  • Health and safety
  • Waste audits and best practice
The course is supplemented with case studies and workshop exercises supported by a CIWM reference booklet.
