Site Waste Management Plans - SWMP Training Course

The construction, demolition & excavation (CD&E) sector generates more waste in England than any other industry. It uses the highest tonnage of solid resources, discarding over 400 million tonnes of material, and is the largest generator of hazardous waste.

New regulations make Site Waste Management Plans (SWMP) compulsory for all construction projects in England costing over £300,000. A SWMP records the amount and type of waste produced on a construction site and how it will be reused, recycled or disposed.

SWMPs in Practice

This 1-day course will present a detailed insight into the requirements of SWMPs enabling delegates to devise a SWMP and put it into practice, helping to ensure you’re complying with the Regulations.

The workshop will include:
o An overview of the SWMP Regulations.
o Roles and responsibilities under the legislation.
o Implications for projects above and below £500,000
o The key stages in drawing up a SWMP
o Implementation of the SWMP
o Devising a draft SWMP
