Compost Awareness Week 2008 dates announced
Compost Awareness Week 2008 will run from May 4 – 10, said the Composting Association.
The week of events offer the opportunity for the composting and biodegradable resource management industries to raise awareness about the importance of composting and its role in making the UK more environmentally friendly.
Chief executive Jane Gilbert said: “We encourage all our members to get involved and to use this week as an opportunity to reach out to their local community, to make links with their neighbours and to explain the positive impact that composting has on the environment".
