China's latest attempt to reduce environmental impact of growth

In the latest attempt to reduce the environmental impact of the country's burgeoning economic growth and offset growing negative publicity in the West China has threatened to stop firms that pollute from exporting overseas.
The State Environmental Protection Administration (SEPA) has said it would would ban from trading abroad for one to three years any firms that seriously breach environmental protection rules.
